.AIR TEMPERATURES ACROSS THE AREA THIS AFTERNOON WILL REMAIN NEAR
FREEZING…IF NOT COLDER. CONTINUED SUNSHINE MAY HOWEVER WARM
SOME ROADS ENOUGH FOR ICE TO MELT AND WATER TO EVAPORATE BEFORE
SUNSET. SHADY SECTIONS OF ROADS MAY CONTINUE TO BE ICY THROUGH THE
AFTERNOON…AND FURTHERMORE ANY WET ROADS COULD QUICKLY BECOME ICY

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR BLACK ICE…WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM
6 PM THIS EVENING TO NOON EST THURSDAY.

* LOCATIONS…MOST OF WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA…UPSTATE SOUTH
CAROLINA…AND NORTHEAST GEORGIA.

* HAZARDS…BLACK ICE ON ROADS.

* TIMING…PATCHES OF ICE WILL FORM QUICKLY AFTER SUNSET THIS
EVENING AND LAST THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING.

* IMPACTS…SLIPPERY ROAD CONDITIONS MAY CAUSE TRAVEL TO BECOME
TREACHEROUS ACROSS THE AREA…ESPECIALLY ON SECONDARY ROADS OR
IN HILLY TERRAIN. DRIVERS WILL NEED TO USE EXTREME CAUTION…
LEAVING EXTRA DISTANCE BETWEEN VEHICLES…AND STOPPING AND
MAKING TURNS SLOWLY AND CAREFULLY.
